Join a cybersecurity company building an AI platform for security teams. Lead hands-on research and engineering to train, adapt, and deploy large language models, moving research ideas into production systems.
Responsibilities
- Train, adapt, and scale LLMs using methods such as supervised fine-tuning, knowledge distillation, LoRA, and reinforcement learning.
- Develop and evaluate algorithms, connecting academic research with production-grade AI systems.
- Optimize models for quality, latency, throughput, and cost at scale.
- Own the AI lifecycle, including prototyping, synthetic data generation, evaluation, deployment, and iteration on production features.
- Work with engineering and product teams to turn research advances into AI capabilities.
- Lead research initiatives to advance AI system capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a research scientist, applied scientist, or algorithms or machine learning engineer.
- Master’s or Ph.D. in computer science, machine learning, data science, statistics, or a related field.
- Expert proficiency with PyTorch and deep learning training and inference optimization.
- Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning, evaluating, or optimizing large-scale LLMs in research or production.
- Strong Python skills and experience writing production-grade machine learning code.
- Experience working with large-scale data and machine learning infrastructure.
Nice to have
- Experience applying AI or machine learning to cybersecurity, such as threat detection, incident response, or log analysis.
- Experience with reinforcement learning or preference optimization for LLMs.
- Research publications, open-source contributions, or other work demonstrating research depth.
