An on-site defense manufacturing organization in Sderot is seeking a Senior Procurement Buyer to lead strategic procurement, supplier relationships, and purchasing activities for development projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Manage orders and deliveries with domestic and international suppliers, including schedule tracking.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor work packages and work plans.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Identify and develop strategic suppliers based on organizational needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and continuously improve procurement processes.
- Resolve operational issues related to deliveries and delays.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, project, operations, finance, and legal teams.
- Present procurement data and analyses to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, logistics, economics, or business administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic procurement involving mechanical, optical, or electronic components.
- Demonstrated experience procuring systems and leading procurement for development projects.
- Experience managing and tracking orders in ERP systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- High-level spoken and written English.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strategic thinking and ability to work independently.

- Technical understanding and ability to read relevant engineering drawings.
