A manufacturing plant is seeking an experienced Production Planner to develop production schedules, coordinate resources, analyze shortages, and support continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop production plans based on production-line capacity and customer requirements.
- Enter and maintain production plans in the ERP system, including ongoing updates and changes.
- Analyze shortage reports and identify critical gaps in raw materials, components, and resources.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, procurement, and quality teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Monitor production plans against targets and timelines.
- Participate in planning meetings and cross-organizational projects.
- Initiate controls, analyze data, and prepare management reports for continuous process improvement.
- Conduct data analysis and produce reports supporting process optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar production planning role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and systemic-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple interfaces, and handle competing priorities under pressure.
Nice to have
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly Priority.
- Experience in cross-functional manufacturing planning environments.
