An aerospace manufacturing facility is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate 3–5-axis machining equipment and produce precision milled and turned components. The role involves shift work and overtime.
Responsibilities
- Operate 3–5-axis CNC machining equipment
- Perform milling and turning of aerospace components
- Assemble cutting tools and set machine fixtures and work offsets
- Secure workpieces, set machine zero points and conduct in-process measurements
- Remove burrs and assemble fasteners or rigid components
- Perform routine machine maintenance
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in machining and CNC machine setup
- Mandatory experience with G-code
- Mandatory knowledge of Fanuc and Siemens controls
- Advanced ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience using precision measurement tools
- Previous experience programming and manufacturing aerospace prototypes
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime
Nice to have
- Practical engineering or machine technician qualification, or vocational training in machining
- Experience operating conventional machining equipment
