Lead complex propulsion development programs from concept through validation and testing, coordinating subcontractors, engineering teams, customers, and senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage a key propulsion system subcontractor, including specifications, development follow-up, and technical oversight
- Lead design and development reviews with manufacturers, customers, and factory management
- Participate in the project’s Systems Engineering team
- Lead system-level testing, including engine firing tests and experimental campaigns
- Manage cross-functional engineering teams in a matrix structure
- Coordinate with business-unit project managers on new systems and products
- Drive engineering development programs from concept through validation and testing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Chemistry
- Experience with propulsion systems or engines
- At least five years of managerial experience, including direct or matrix management
- Experience managing subcontractors
Nice to have
- Experience developing propulsion systems and knowledge of solid or liquid rocket engine development processes
