A healthcare organization is seeking a manager to develop and lead national addiction-treatment services and projects within its mental health division. The role works across clinical, pharmacy, primary care, regulatory, and external-provider teams. The position is full-time at the organization's HQ
Responsibilities
- Develop national policy, professional guidance, and work processes for addiction services in mental health.
- Build and implement a multi-year plan to establish and integrate addiction-treatment services across mental health, primary care, and pharmacy.
- Develop agreements with external outpatient providers for addiction and dual-diagnosis treatment.
- Lead national prevention and treatment projects, including needs assessment, implementation planning, coordination, progress monitoring, and improvement.
- Coordinate with the Ministry of Health, implement regulatory requirements, provide reports, and promote partnerships concerning addiction and potentially addictive prescription medicines.
- Lead organizational initiatives for safe and appropriate use of medicines with addiction potential, in partnership with pharmacy teams.
- Develop referral and treatment pathways with primary care and provide professional consultation to community care teams.
- Create pharmacy controls, training, and consultation processes related to potentially addictive prescription medicines and treatment adherence.
- Develop digital tools for clinical, administrative, monitoring, and reporting needs.
- Provide professional direction to regional addiction-treatment coordinators and teams.
- Develop and deliver professional training for medical, mental health, pharmacy, and nursing teams.
- Represent the organization in professional, inter-organizational, and regulatory forums and lead additional mental health and addiction projects.
Requirements
- Required qualification in one of the following: specialist psychiatrist with an Israeli medical license; physician with addiction-treatment training from a recognized academic institution; master's degree in clinical, medical, or rehabilitation psychology; or master's degree in social work, nursing, or clinical criminology.
- At least 3 years of clinical work and management experience, or experience developing and leading projects or services in addiction treatment in Israel.
- Experience in addiction treatment, including knowledge of clinical, rehabilitation, and community services and the related reform.
- Experience in a healthcare organization working with different professional groups and internal and external care providers.
- Strong strategic planning, project leadership, service development, and systems thinking skills; experience representing a professional field in relevant forums.
- Leadership, decision-making, team guidance, and training skills.
- Ability to learn electronic health records and use remote-work and available AI systems; strong Office software skills.
- Valid driver's license.
