Senior Systems Engineering Manager
Lead and develop a systems engineering team, maintain its methods and procedures, and ensure effective systems engineering input to product development and product support. Collaborate with internal teams and external customers. This is a leadership role on the Israel Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the professional and personal development of direct reports, including coaching and performance management.
- Ensure the team has the capabilities and current systems engineering knowledge needed to perform its work.
- Maintain systems engineering processes, tools, and procedures.
- Work with Quality, Regulatory, Software, lifecycle management, and other stakeholders to share systems engineering input.
- Ensure systems engineering representation in project, design, and other reviews.
- Engage external customers to understand market trends and needs, and internal customers to ensure solutions follow applicable procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure systems engineering deliverables for new product development are accurate and complete.
- Promote a technical vision for navigated products, including sensors and navigation systems.
- Participate in CAPA, nonconformance, and other quality activities as needed.
- Communicate business issues and opportunities to management and ensure direct reports follow applicable procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Master’s degree in systems engineering
- At least 15 years of experience in a multidisciplinary, design-focused engineering team
- At least 4 years of experience as a hardware, software, mechanical, or biomedical engineer
- At least 3 years leading a systems engineering team
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Ability to collaborate across functions
- Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-focused approach
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
