Senior Pre-Silicon Switch Technical Lead
Lead technical programs from initial MRD to customer samples, orchestrating pre-silicon processes for next-gen switch ASICs. Drive cross-functional issue resolution and process improvement to enable single-day silicon bring-up.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional team to ensure software/firmware readiness for new switch ASIC bring-up.
- Drive technical issue resolution for single-day silicon bring-up across multiple software/hardware layers.
- Introduce and improve team and cross-team processes for high-quality pre-silicon execution.
- Interface with multi-functional teams (product management, architecture, software/hardware design, verification, product engineering) to drive pre-silicon issues and track progress.
- Report issues, track bugs, and communicate pre-silicon program risks and status.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of design experience in multifaceted and multidisciplinary environments.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins.
- Firm knowledge of L1, L2, L3 networking protocols.
- Broad system-level understanding of embedded systems hardware, software, and firmware.

- Proven hands-on experience leading silicon projects from concept to production.
- Track record of managing complex schedules and driving process improvements.
- Understanding of pre-silicon hardware emulation and software simulation tools.
- Ability to build effective relationships across multiple organizational functions.
- Strong multitasking and real-time crisis management skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical discussions into clear executive messaging.
- Experience in communication equipment (switch/routers) ASIC, system, microcode/firmware or software development.
- Knowledge of real-time microcode/firmware/software, RTOS, and Linux embedded environment.
