Lead a team of mechanical design engineers developing electro-mechanical products, automated production test systems, and manufacturing infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 8 or more mechanical design engineers.
- Define priorities, develop project plans, and allocate resources with Product Managers.
- Lead electro-mechanical, automated JIG, and thermal design for production test setups.
- Ensure test and assembly infrastructure is ready for high-volume manufacturing.
- Develop multiple early-stage mechanical design concepts during fast-paced product development cycles.
- Lead investigations into production issues and reliability concerns, including failure analysis.
- Conduct design risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including 4+ years managing R&D engineering teams.
- Expertise in complex automated connection systems, precise moving parts, pneumatic systems, and electro-mechanical design.
- Hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools, preferably Creo, and static and dynamic mechanical simulation.
- Experience designing components, subsystems, and systems for sheet metal, stamping, injection molding, and other high-volume manufacturing technologies.
- Strong understanding of quality, reliability, manufacturability, risk assessment, and failure analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hebrew.
Nice to have
- Experience with precision electro-mechanical connection elements and pneumatic mechanical design.
- Experience with electro-mechanical products involving PCB or PCBA.
- Experience collaborating with OEMs and ODMs and drafting Statements of Work.
- Experience developing and implementing design methodologies.
