Lead operations for global R&D labs supporting large-scale broadband and networking environments. This on-site role combines technical leadership, infrastructure ownership, hands-on support, operational management, and strategic planning in Caesarea, Israel.
Responsibilities
- Lead R&D lab operations supporting broadband and networking environments
- Manage and mentor the Lab Support team through goal setting, KPI and SLA management, prioritization, and professional development
- Provide hands-on support for lab infrastructure installations and deployments
- Architect, design, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, servers, and virtualization platforms
- Lead new lab installations and ongoing technical support
- Establish documentation standards using Confluence, Jira, Visio, and related systems
- Lead automation and operational-efficiency initiatives to improve scalability
- Report to executives on lab operations, project status, risks, and roadmap progress
- Manage timelines, estimates, and stakeholder expectations across concurrent activities
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working in laboratory environments
- At least 3 years managing technical labs, data centers, or large-scale infrastructure environments
- Experience leading technical teams in complex networking and infrastructure environments
- Strong networking knowledge at CCNA/CCNP level or equivalent, including routers, switches, VLANs, and routing protocols
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, networking, or a related technical field is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced R&D and production-support environments
- Self-directed, organized, and able to learn new technologies independently
Nice to have
- Experience with RF systems, CMTS or vCMTS, and DOCSIS protocols
- Experience with PON infrastructure, including XGS, GPON, or EPON
- Experience with Linux, VMware virtualization, and Zabbix or similar monitoring tools
