Lead and scale the engineering organization at a growing cybersecurity startup developing AI-enabled application security solutions. Shape engineering strategy, culture, processes, and platform delivery while partnering with product, security, and executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the engineering organization, including team leads and individual contributors.
- Define and execute engineering strategy in alignment with company goals.
- Build scalable engineering processes and development practices.
- Partner with product, security, and executive leadership on roadmap and strategy.
- Maintain high standards for system architecture, reliability, and security.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent.
- Drive a culture of ownership, innovation, and execution.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including leadership of engineering teams in startup or high-growth environments.
- Experience managing multiple teams or team leads.
- Strong system architecture and cloud-native platform experience.
- Experience with microservices architectures and large-scale systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in cybersecurity, DevSecOps, or developer tooling.
- Experience scaling engineering teams from early-stage to growth-stage companies.
- Familiarity with AI-driven platforms or data-intensive systems.
