Lead engineering for a UAV platform, overseeing system architecture, integration, performance, reliability, and long-term technical direction.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the chief engineering authority for the UAV platform and system.
- Lead development across system architecture, software and hardware infrastructure, propulsion and energy, communications, and navigation.
- Coordinate technical work across engineering disciplines and lead requirements analysis and subsystem requirement derivation.
- Evaluate engineering alternatives and make long-term technical decisions.
- Ensure quality, schedule, budget, reliability, and maintainability goals are met.
- Partner with program and division management on the technology roadmap, platform upgrades, and future capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science
- Significant experience with UAV systems
- Strong system-level understanding of complex platforms
- Experience analyzing customer requirements, deriving internal requirements, and leading system design
- Ability to manage multiple technical interfaces and lead multidisciplinary teams
Nice to have
- Aeronautical engineering degree
- Master’s degree
- Familiarity with electronic warfare systems
- Managerial experience
