Lead the technical development of advanced electro-optical camera systems for space missions, from early concept through customer delivery. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities and serve as the primary technical authority across complex defense programs.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, requirements compliance, and design integrity of space camera systems.
- Lead engineering reviews, system integrations, testing, and formal release processes.
- Plan and control project schedules, quality, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with program management, customers, subcontractors, production, operations, and supporting departments.
- Manage engineering resources, prioritize tasks, and oversee development workstreams.
- Lead systems from early development through final customer delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- At least five years of experience leading multidisciplinary development projects.
- Experience developing, managing, and monitoring project schedules.
- Strong system-level understanding and deep technical knowledge.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- High commitment, accountability, and willingness to sustain effort over extended development periods.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in systems engineering or electro-optics.
- Experience developing electro-optical military systems.
