Lead an engineering department responsible for electromechanical systems, generator projects, energy infrastructure, and emerging energy-storage activities. Manage engineering staff, coordinate multiple projects, and contribute to company leadership and process development.
Responsibilities
- Manage a multidisciplinary engineering department including mechanical engineers, electrical and controls engineers, electrical technicians, project managers, and designers
- Track the status, schedules, bottlenecks, and priorities of multiple engineering projects in coordination with service and sales teams
- Manage design and approval processes with customers, consultants, main contractors, the national electricity provider, and authorities through project handover
- Own design quality, standards compliance, adherence to procedures, and customer requirements
- Provide technical support from quotations and tenders through project delivery, including engineering support for customers and sales
- Participate in company management and help develop new business areas
Requirements
- Electrical or mechanical engineering degree with substantial experience in electromechanical systems, generators, energy, infrastructure facilities, or integrated engineering projects
- Proven experience managing an engineering team
- Proven experience managing multiple projects in parallel and leading design and approval processes with consultants, authorities, and the national electricity provider
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and controls sufficient for professional review and coordination with electrical consultants
- Ability to lead and implement work processes
- Ability to remain effective under pressure, solve complex problems creatively, and work efficiently and thoroughly across multiple priorities
Nice to have
- Registered electrical engineer
- Experience with synchronization systems, electrical panels, or electrical contracting
