Lead an AI platform development team building a secure, cloud-based microservices platform for large-scale cybersecurity products. Own platform architecture, agentic development capabilities, developer experience, engineering quality, and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the AI platform development team and mentor AI Guild engineers.
- Own the architecture of a large-scale, cloud-based, AI-driven microservices platform.
- Plan, design, and build AI platforms, harnesses, agents, skills, MCPs, plugins, infrastructure components, and development processes.
- Partner with Development and DevOps teams to improve developer experience, delivery velocity, platform quality, performance, and security.
- Design and review system architectures and feature designs, incorporating AI agents, tools, and infrastructure components.
- Hire, mentor, and inspire engineers while creating onboarding plans for backend developers.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in AI and system architecture, agents, LLMs, performance, and optimization.
- Own the AI platform roadmap, identify requirements and opportunities, lead delivery plans, and communicate risks and mitigations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of infrastructure or platform team management and people management experience.
- Proven experience with AI-driven software engineering, agentic development lifecycles, AI agents, skills, and MCPs.
- Experience planning and leading projects using Agile practices.
- Experience with modern cloud and software stacks, CI/CD, developer experience, microservices, Kubernetes, high-scale systems, and low-latency processing.
- 8+ years of backend development experience, including at least 2 years with Python.
- Experience with message brokers, synchronous and asynchronous processing, and relational and non-relational databases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
