Lead structural design and upgrade programs for airborne platforms, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and engineering deliverables from initiation through development, verification, prototyping, and serial production. The role is based at either a Bar-Lev industrial site or in Haifa.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop airborne structures and lead structural upgrade programs.
- Lead engineers and support functions in a matrix environment.
- Own engineering deliverables from program initiation through development, verification, prototyping, and serial production.
- Partner with the program manager and coordinate internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage engineering plans and schedules, including Gantt charts.
- Ensure compliance with program requirements and share responsibility for quality, schedule, and cost targets.
- Prepare and manage engineering design reviews and coordinate across engineering disciplines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering.
- At least five years of structural design and/or aircraft modification design experience.
- Ability to write and manage technical specifications and development plans.
- Ability to learn new technical domains and lead cross-functional collaboration.
Nice to have
- A master's degree.
- Technical leadership experience in aerospace projects.
- Experience managing engineering subcontractors and consultants.
- Familiarity with civil and military aviation standards.
