Responsibilities
- Lead the specification and development of radio and satellite communication products.
- Design complete communication architectures spanning endpoint units, networks, applications, and inter-network connectivity.
- Define work packages and requirements for product-development subcontractors.
- Perform system integration of products into complete networks.
- Develop technical knowledge of relevant technologies, markets, competitors, and potential partners.
- Support product-related business activities, including marketing and sales processes, proposal preparation, and meetings with customers and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a communications specialization.
- Deep knowledge of digital communications and modems.
- Knowledge of radio-frequency systems.
- Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers and vector signal analyzers.
- Experience specifying, defining, and writing detailed technical specifications and design documents for firmware, software, and hardware teams.
- Ability to work across multiple disciplines and manage multiple tasks.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Experience developing digital transceivers.
- Knowledge and experience with satellite communications.
- Knowledge and experience with line-of-sight communications.
