Join a globally distributed engineering team building Windows guest operating system capabilities for an enterprise cloud-native virtualization platform. The role combines systems software architecture, development, debugging, upstream collaboration, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, and implement Windows guest operating system features for OpenShift Virtualization
Improve performance, stability, and interoperability across the virtualization experience
Provide technical expertise on Windows guest issues to engineering teams and upstream communities
Contribute across requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and documentation
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex projects
Collaborate with Kubernetes, KubeVirt, and QEMU communities
Troubleshoot complex issues reported by customers and quality engineering teams
Promote software quality, continuous integration, and automated testing practices

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and interest in new Windows features
Hands-on experience running Microsoft SQL, Active Directory, and applications on Windows
Experience with PowerShell and WinRM
Ability to perform deep debugging and root-cause analysis of complex Windows issues
At least 5 years of professional experience as an architect, administrator, developer, or similar IT professional
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
