Lead the design and delivery of foundational open-source software and large-scale in-memory datastore infrastructure. Combine deep technical expertise with hands-on development, technical leadership, and engineer mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Design and direct technical solutions for large-scale in-memory datastore infrastructure.
- Lead strategic software projects involving distributed database technology and in-memory caching.
- Deliver foundational software for open-source communities and commercial products.
- Perform hands-on technical work on complex software engineering problems.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the development organization.
- Influence technical direction based on customer needs and market competition.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- 8+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language, such as C++.
- 8+ years contributing to the architecture and design of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
Nice to have
- Experience programming in Rust.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and established software development methodologies, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
