An identity security company is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape platform architecture, scale distributed systems, and advance security research and engineering practices. The role is hybrid, with three office days per week in Tel Aviv-Yafo.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale high-performance software
- Drive architectural best practices across the R&D organization
- Research cloud, SaaS ecosystems, and AI agents to develop detection models, mitigation strategies, and threat intelligence
- Improve code quality, testing, monitoring, and documentation standards
- Translate security requirements into scalable technical solutions with Product and R&D teams
- Resolve systemic performance bottlenecks and architectural challenges
- Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years of hands-on Python experience focused on backend architecture and scalable systems
- Experience developing security products, conducting security research, or handling threat and incident response
- Track record of designing, building, and operating complex large-scale distributed systems
- Strong understanding of software design patterns and system architecture
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across teams
Nice to have
- Experience with Snowflake or other modern data warehousing platforms
- Hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures
