Lead the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of an AI-enabled cloud platform in Tel Aviv. The role combines hands-on software development, distributed-systems design, cross-functional collaboration, and technical leadership for a growing engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Own technical direction, architecture, and delivery of end-to-end product capabilities
- Translate product goals into scalable designs and executable engineering plans
- Design reliable distributed systems using relational and NoSQL databases, queues, and event-driven architectures
- Build modern web experiences and supporting backend services
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, designers, and global engineering teams on cross-product integrations
- Drive security, scalability, resilience, performance, and observability
- Contribute code, review pull requests, and promote engineering excellence
- Mentor engineers and help build a high-performing team
Requirements
- At least 7 years of hands-on software development experience, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership role
- Experience designing, building, and operating scalable, reliable distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, APIs, and production operations
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, message queues, and event-driven architectures
- Experience with modern development practices, including CI/CD, observability, and production system integration
Nice to have
- Experience leading high-performing, geographically distributed full-stack teams
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into production software
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
