Conduct offensive security research and strengthen the security posture of networking software through threat modeling, architecture guidance, and developer mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Conduct offensive security research across a range of networking products
- Help improve the security posture and reduce risks, threats, and vulnerabilities
- Assess software development processes against security and coding standards
- Perform security threat modeling
- Design security architecture recommendations aligned with security requirements
- Mentor developers and engineering teams on security best practices
- Provide hands-on security engineering expertise across multiple development teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of security research experience
- Knowledge of applied cryptography, threat modeling, common attack vectors, and mitigation techniques
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to have
- Master’s or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field
- Cloud environment security experience
- Experience with high-scale deployment challenges
- Security research publications
