Lead hands-on security engineering across corporate, cloud, and SaaS environments for an AI cloud infrastructure platform. Build, configure, tune, and operate controls that reduce security risk without direct people management responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Engineer, deploy, and tune identity and access, threat detection and response, cloud security, and network security systems
- Define, enforce, and maintain security policies and configurations across endpoints, email, SaaS, networks, and cloud platforms
- Design and implement visibility into systems, processes, sensitive data, data flows, misconfigurations, and cloud exposure risks
- Monitor, triage, and investigate security alerts and risks, coordinating escalation and remediation
- Conduct risk assessments and identify gaps in security controls across systems, pipelines, and business processes
- Support security and privacy compliance requirements such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and SOC 2
- Embed security controls into systems and workflows with Engineering, IT, Product, and GRC teams
- Maintain security documentation, runbooks, operational guidelines, and security practices
Requirements
- 6+ years of IT security experience, including at least 3 years in security engineering
- Hands-on experience engineering, administering, tuning, and configuring enterprise security platforms
- Experience securing data across cloud and SaaS environments, including shadow IT and unmanaged data stores
- Strong understanding of identity and access management and data access governance
- Experience collaborating with Security, IT, Engineering, Product, and GRC teams
- Ability to analyze and clearly communicate security risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience with security technologies including XDR, SWG, DLP, email security, firewalls, NAC, NDR, IGA, CASB, PAM, EPM, BAS, vulnerability scanners, SIEM, SOAR, CTI, patch management, TPRM, and EASM
Nice to have
- Experience building or scaling a security program from the ground up
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google cloud-native security services
- Knowledge of GDPR, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
- Python or PowerShell scripting and automation skills
- CISSP or CISM certification
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Project and people management experience
