Join a networking systems product engineering team to develop and maintain automated tests for switches and adapters. The role combines software and hardware validation, production support, debugging, and test-process optimization.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated tests for networking switches and adapters.
- Define and implement tests from development through final network-system testing.
- Validate hardware and software and improve test coverage and reliability.
- Use test suites to identify, debug, and resolve production-process issues.
- Support existing code, including bug fixes, deployments, patches, and maintenance for production lines.
- Troubleshoot and optimize testing procedures.
- Coordinate projects through execution in a multi-project, schedule-driven environment.
- Collaborate with hardware, ASIC, and software engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent engineering education, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of software development and design experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with Python or a similar platform.
- Strong knowledge of version control, preferably Git.
- Experience developing on Linux.
- Experience integrating software and hardware products.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with global, cross-functional teams.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with product manufacturing processes and production flows.
- Knowledge of application development, configuration management, and automation.
- Experience developing tools or services.
- Exposure to new test methodologies and technologies.
- Ability to lead projects from definition through mass production.
