An engineering team in Israel is seeking a junior Software Performance Engineer to verify Linux driver features, develop testing infrastructure, and investigate performance issues in networking software.
Responsibilities
- Work with software developers to test new components using unit, functional, and performance tests
- Lead feature verification from design through implementation and framework integration
- Develop verification environments and tools for functional and performance qualification
- Investigate performance issues in Linux networking drivers
- Analyze coverage metrics to identify verification gaps and track release readiness
- Define coverage measures for stimulus and corner cases
- Collaborate with driver developers, verification teams, and performance architects
- Apply AI-based practices to daily engineering work
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of experience in low-level software development
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C
- Strong focus on performance in low-level code design
- Background in networking and protocols
Nice to have
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Strong debugging and analytical skills
- Performance analysis and debugging of low-level code
