Lead mechanical design for medical imaging systems, from product requirements and concept development through verification, production transfer, and field support. Work with multidisciplinary engineering teams and suppliers to deliver reliable, manufacturable, serviceable, and cost-effective parts,
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical parts and assemblies from specifications using 3D Creo CAD
- Write and refine product and engineering specifications
- Develop solutions addressing functionality, reliability, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability
- Present concept and detailed designs in technical reviews
- Collaborate with electronics, systems, service, and other engineering teams
- Create safety files, strength calculations, FMEA, and compliance documentation
- Define and execute verification and validation tests and prepare reports
- Support design transfer to production, assembly and service instructions, and supplier coordination
- Support products at hospital and customer sites through service teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- At least 2 years of mechanical design experience
- Experience in at least two of the following: motion systems, welded or cast structures and frames, mechanisms, electronic packaging, sculptured FRP covers, or electrical design support
- Experience with machining and sheet-metal technologies
- Hands-on prototype-building experience
- Experience executing tests against test plans and troubleshooting failures
- Fluent English for technical presentations, meetings, and written communication
Nice to have
- System-level understanding in multidisciplinary projects
- Experience leading requirements through engineering change finalization
- Finite-element analysis and technical calculations using Excel
- Design for cost, reliability, serviceability, and manufacturability
