Systems Engineer – Laser and Electro-Optical Systems
Lead the definition, analysis, integration, validation, and production transition of laser-based designation, marking, and electro-optical systems within a multidisciplinary R&D environment.
Responsibilities
- Define systems and manage requirements for laser-based electro-optical systems
- Conduct performance analysis, simulations, trade-off studies, laboratory experiments, and field tests
- Lead multidisciplinary technical development teams across optics, lasers, mechanics, and electronics
- Support the design, development, and characterization of solid-state and fiber laser systems
- Coordinate integration, validation, and transition from development to production
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electro-Optics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
- At least 3 years of Systems Engineering experience or 5 years in multidisciplinary laser R&D
- Knowledge of optics and solid-state or fiber laser technologies
- Experience with requirements allocation, technical reviews, integration, validation, and production transition
- Experience leading multidisciplinary technical development activities
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Willingness to travel internationally
Nice to have
- M.Sc. degree; mandatory for Physics candidates
- Experience with simulations and systems engineering tools
- Experience with high-power pulsed DPSS or fiber lasers
- Experience working with international clients
