R&D role focused on translating product requirements into system requirements and integrating, characterizing, and validating complex electro-optical sensing systems.
Responsibilities
- Translate product requirements into system requirements
- Define detailed requirements for software, algorithms, hardware, electro-optics, image sensors, lasers, firmware, mechanics, and thermal subsystems
- Collaborate with R&D, product, program management, quality, and operations teams to ensure system compliance
- Plan and design system integration tests and verification and validation processes
- Research system limitations and identify high-performing product solutions
- Lead risk management and DFMEA processes
Requirements
- At least 4 years of multidisciplinary systems engineering experience
- Significant hands-on experience designing, integrating, characterizing, and testing electro-optical systems
- Strong technical background in electro-optics, imaging systems, optical sensors, lasers and illumination, or related photonic technologies
- System-level understanding of optics, electronics, control, embedded computing, and algorithms
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Electro-Optics, or a related field
- Strong technical judgment and hands-on problem-solving ability
