Develop and improve synthesis flows, tools, and methodologies for high-speed communication silicon, with a focus on power, performance, and area objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design and refine synthesis flows to meet power, performance, and area objectives.
- Coordinate with front-end design and place-and-route teams to define interfaces, resolve constraints, and address flow gaps.
- Build scalable Tcl/Python scripts to improve flow turnaround time and integrate AI/ML automation into production runs.
- Debug complex tool failures, support adjacent project teams, and deliver synthesis training.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with VLSI synthesis flows.
- Strong expertise with Synopsys Fusion Compiler or Design Compiler.
- Proficiency in Tcl or Python scripting in a production CAD/EDA environment.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with Synopsys or Cadence synthesis, place-and-route, and static timing analysis tools.
- Experience owning methodology or flows for synthesis, place and route, or static timing analysis.
