Senior PCB Layout Engineer with expertise in high-speed and HDI PCB design using Cadence Allegro. Skilled in floor planning, component placement, constraints management, signal integrity, and manufacturability (DFM/DFA/DFT). Experienced in working with cross-functional teams to deliver complex electronic designs.
Responsibilities
- Perform PCB layout of high-speed/high-density PCBs for various business units, working closely with product design engineers.
- Develop complete CAD layout from symbol creation, floor planning, detailed component placement, and constraints management.
- Generate artwork files, ODB++, and electronic PCB documentation for design releases.
- Ensure designs meet signal integrity constraints, EMI/RFI control, and comply with FCC, UL, European regulations, IPC specifications, and NRC regulations.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in high-speed design.
- Detailed knowledge of circuit design and layout considerations including DFM, DFA, DFT, and timing constraints.
- Expertise in using Cadence Allegro PCB design tools.
- Deep understanding of High-Density Interconnect (HDI) PCB layout and PCB Signal Integrity.
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes for HDI, Standard Thru-Hole, and Back-drilling.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and leadership abilities.
Nice to have
- Experience in crafting PCBs in the 25gbps+ range using back-drilling technology.
- Experience designing complex multi-layer HDI PCBs for very dense placement and routing.
