Lead quality strategy and execution across hardware product development, from concept through production release, with responsibility for verification, validation, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams through hardware development stages while maintaining engineering standards and quality requirements.
- Drive verification and validation activities from concept through production release.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Identify, prioritize, track, and mitigate risks affecting schedule and product quality.
- Manage product changes and configuration control throughout the development lifecycle.
- Implement early checks, continuous monitoring, and rapid issue resolution.
- Maintain and improve quality control plans and product development, verification, and validation processes.
- Coordinate quality process improvement and department project planning to reduce customer complaints and internal scrap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, materials, or chemical engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 12 years of experience in hardware design development, hardware testing, or process engineering.
- Experience with hardware qualification, reliability processes, quality procedures, and quality tools.
- Familiarity with risk assessment, failure analysis, and FMEA.
Nice to have
- Five or more years of experience in quality engineering.
- Experience with manufacturing process or test engineering, board design and assembly, or semiconductor technologies.
