Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for Automation in defense sector. Design precise testing fixtures, develop automation & robotics systems, lead engineering processes, create technical documentation. Requires BSc Mechanical Engineering, SolidWorks/NX proficiency. PLC & robotics experience advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design electronic packaging for precise testing fixtures integrating electronic cards, connectors, mechanisms, linear rails, and pneumatic components.
- Lead engineering processes in developing testing systems and jigs for various test stages.
- Write technical specifications, prepare mechanical production and assembly drawings, and build product trees.
- Characterize, plan, and implement automation and robotics systems, including cobots and robotic arms.
- Manage work with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers locally and abroad.
Requirements
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
- Full proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks / NX).
- Proven experience in mechanical design of integrated automation and control fixtures.
- High technical writing ability in Hebrew and English.
- Independent and team work ability, excellent interpersonal skills.
Nice to have
- Specialization in mechatronics.
- Proven experience in designing precise mechanisms, linear rails, and drive systems.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, motion control, and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
- Familiarity with robotic systems such as KUKA, UR, Fanuc, ABB.
