Develop guidance, navigation, and control systems for aircraft, including simulations, dynamic models, real-time algorithms, and supporting development infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop simulations and guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for aircraft
- Lead development of aircraft GNC packages and interfaces with aeromechanical and software systems
- Develop dynamic models
- Implement algorithms with an emphasis on real-time considerations
- Develop infrastructure supporting GNC system development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering
- Relevant master’s degree in aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical engineering
- At least 5 years of proven experience developing GNC systems for aircraft
- Experience with six-degree-of-freedom simulations, three-degree-of-freedom performance simulations, and dynamic models
- Experience with numerical computing in a research and development environment
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink

- Relevant PhD or peer-reviewed publications in GNC
