Develop complex FPGA components for advanced aerospace and defense systems, covering architecture, implementation, simulation, integration, and laboratory debugging.
Responsibilities
- Define FPGA architecture and create design documentation
- Implement FPGA modules and integrate them into complex systems
- Develop FPGA components with internal processors and high-speed interfaces, including DDR, PCIe, SERDES, and JESD204
- Build test benches and perform end-to-end simulations using MATLAB and Python
- Support post-production ramp-up activities
- Debug designs in the laboratory
- Support software and system integrations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience with complex projects involving large FPGA devices
- End-to-end FPGA development and integration into final systems
- Experience with complex VHDL simulations
- Laboratory debugging using JTAG tools and script development
- Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and RF generators
Nice to have
- Experience with MATLAB
- Experience implementing signal-processing algorithms
