An engineering organization in Israel is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop real-time embedded applications and software modules for advanced defense and aerospace systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software in C and C++ for real-time systems.
- Work directly with processors and hardware, including software integration.
- Analyze, write, and verify technical requirements.
- Plan and execute unit, integration, and system testing.
- Develop and maintain BSPs and bootloaders.
- Develop applications and software modules for mission computers and related systems.
- Work across Linux and bare-metal environments, including initialization, interrupt handling, and direct resource management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a software specialization or in Computer Science.
- At least 5 years of experience developing real-time embedded software.
- Experience developing applications and software modules for real-time embedded systems.
- Strong teamwork, initiative, responsibility, commitment to quality, and interpersonal skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with FreeRTOS or Linux, including device trees, kernel modules, Yocto, or Buildroot.
- Experience with Xilinx MPSoC and ARM Cortex-A/R/M processors.
- Experience developing BSPs, bootloaders, device drivers, and communication protocols such as SPI, UART, I2C, UDP, and CAN.
