Develop real-time embedded software and FPGA firmware for advanced satellite systems in a multidisciplinary aerospace engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop real-time embedded software in C and C++
- Develop FPGA firmware using VHDL
- Gather requirements from multiple engineering disciplines and define system architecture
- Create logic designs, simulation code, and verification activities
- Perform place-and-route and debugging for embedded and FPGA systems
- Work with requirements management and configuration control tools
- Use laboratory equipment and test systems for satellite computer development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering or computer engineering
- At least 5 years of experience developing real-time embedded software with an operating system
- At least 5 years of FPGA development experience, including hardware systems, logic design, and communication protocols
- Experience with Xilinx, Altera, or Actel tools
- High-level English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
Nice to have
- Experience reading electrical schematics and working with multidisciplinary hardware teams
- Signal processing for communications or image processing experience
- Experience with Linux or FreeRTOS
- Knowledge of MATLAB or Python
