Senior ASIC Architect
Lead architecture and performance development for next-generation Ethernet and InfiniBand switch products, collaborating across ASIC, software, verification, physical design, board, and package teams.
Responsibilities
- Define architecture and performance for next-generation Ethernet and InfiniBand switch product lines
- Specify implementation of advanced performance features while balancing architectural, backend, execution, and design constraints
- Define debug capabilities for performance validation and improvement
- Help establish switch product system requirements and proof-of-requirement definitions
- Resolve full-chip correctness and performance issues requiring cross-unit expertise
- Collaborate with software, ASIC design, verification, physical design, platform, board, and package teams
- Assess power, di/dt, temperature, and signal-integrity constraints
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
- Excellent academic grades
- At least 5 years of ASIC design, microarchitecture, architecture, or performance experience
- At least 4 years of hands-on Verilog or VHDL experience
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Ability to lead complex activities across multiple interfaces and teams
- Good communication skills
- Thorough understanding of Ethernet, InfiniBand, and NvLink protocols
Nice to have
- Switching-fabric experience in networking or SoC connectivity
- Hardware architecture experience
- Experience with large, high-end ASICs
- ASIC performance improvement experience
