Join an advanced development team creating optical metrology solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. The role combines theoretical modeling, laboratory experimentation, data analysis, and cross-functional R&D.
Responsibilities
- Propose concepts and develop solutions for optical metrology challenges
- Design, build, and operate complex optical experiments
- Develop theoretical models and validate them experimentally
- Collect, analyze, and interpret research data
- Formulate conclusions and recommendations for future products and roadmaps
- Collaborate with algorithm, systems, hardware, and other engineering teams
Requirements
- PhD in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field with a strong experimental thesis
- Deep theoretical knowledge of optics and light–matter interaction
- Hands-on experience designing optical setups and conducting complex experiments
- Ability to connect theoretical models with measurements and refine them iteratively
- At least five years of industry or academic research experience, including postdoctoral work
- Strong simulation and modeling skills
- Peer-reviewed publications and/or patents
- Strong written and verbal scientific communication skills
- Ability to work independently and creatively with scientific rigor
- Collaborative approach in a multidisciplinary R&D environment
Nice to have
- Background in high-precision optical measurement or experimental physics
- Experience advancing laboratory research concepts toward product-level maturity
- Eight or more years of research experience
