Lead power engineering execution for advanced switch ASICs from architecture through tape-out and into post-silicon production support. The role coordinates multidisciplinary engineering teams and manages ASIC power planning, modeling, optimization, and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead ASIC power execution from architecture through tape-out
- Monitor and support post-silicon power activities from power-on and bring-up through quality phases and mass production
- Define and implement power execution plans with cross-disciplinary engineering leaders
- Coordinate with ASIC, physical design, CAD, package design, firmware and software, DFT, system design, analog design, and other specialized teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
- At least 15 years of overall chip design experience
- At least 8 years of VLSI or chip design experience
- Experience leading teams with at least eight direct reports
- Strong systems perspective and ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to have
- Experience with ASIC power optimization and power modeling
- Knowledge of thermal analysis, reliability, power integrity, package design, or board design
