Navigation Engineer
Lead development of inertial navigation systems, including sensor selection, algorithm development, performance analysis, and real-time implementation. Work with estimation theory, Kalman filters, and sensor fusion. Requires BSc in Engineering, strong algorithmic background, and proficiency in MATLAB/Python/C++.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of navigation systems, including sensor selection and hardware requirements
- Develop and implement inertial navigation algorithms
- Design and improve sensor fusion and filtering algorithms (e.g., Kalman filter)
- Work with dynamic models and error estimation
- Perform system performance analysis and optimization
- Implement real-time code in C/C++
- Support integration and experimental validation
Requirements
- BSc in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, or Physics (advanced degree advantageous)
- Strong background in algorithms and signal processing
- Understanding of estimation theory and experience with Kalman filters
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C, C++
- Experience in real-time/embedded development – advantage
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and self-learning ability
Nice to have
- Expertise in GNSS
- Inertial measurement hardware (IMU) characterization and calibration
- Visual navigation (VIO/SLAM)
- Strong theoretical background in estimation
- Extensive knowledge in geodesy and coordinate systems
