Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems, mechanisms, and structures for weapon systems
- Lead assigned engineering tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- At least 3 years of mechanical design experience
- Proven experience with electromechanical systems
- Experience designing moving components, mechanisms, and structures
- Knowledge of casting design
- Knowledge of dimensional tolerancing and tolerance stack-up calculations
- Knowledge of metals and coatings
- Ability to perform static analyses
- Knowledge of configuration management
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SOLIDWORKS or NX
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Experience with casting design
