Lead a team of hardware engineers in designing high-performance Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) switch systems from concept to mass production for next-generation data center networking.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a team of hardware engineers for CPO switch design.
- Lead the design and execution of high-performance CPO switch systems from concept to mass production.
- Provide technical leadership in specification definition, schematics, layout, testing, production processes, and more.
- Collaborate with board design, assembly, mechanics, thermal, PCB layout, production, software/firmware, procurement, and NPI teams.
- Plan and oversee multiple simultaneous development projects.
- Manage direct reports, set goals, provide coaching, and conduct performance appraisals.
- Collect and analyze requirements from internal stakeholders to define product plans.
- Schedule projects, create realistic estimates, and drive timely execution for high-volume manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 12+ years of industry experience in architecture and design for cutting-edge board development.
- 6+ years of technical design management experience.
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary projects and high-density PCB design.
- Deep understanding of broadband high-speed ICs.
- Ability to provide guidance on trade-offs between power, performance, manufacturability, thermals, and cost.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in designing data-center networking products for high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience with optoelectronics and optical communication systems.
