Hardware Engineer, ATE and Test Hardware

On-siteFull-timeHardware EngineeringSemiconductor Manufacturing

Design and own automated test equipment hardware for cellular IoT chipset programs, covering RF and analog circuitry, multilayer PCBs, prototype bring-up, validation, and production correlation. The role is based in Israel and includes international travel to partner and test-house sites.

Responsibilities

  • Own ATE and test hardware from requirements through schematic, PCB layout, fabrication, bring-up, and correlation
  • Design DUT/load boards, multi-site test boards, and characterization setups
  • Design RF and analog front-end circuits, including RF chains, matching networks, switch topologies, and interfaces
  • Create manufacturable multilayer PCB outputs, including high-layer-count boards, blind and buried vias, stackups, impedance specifications, Gerber files, and ODB++ files
  • Debug test systems to root cause across signal integrity, tester interfaces, yield, and correlation
  • Lead failure analysis covering power sequencing, RF performance, and functional validation
  • Perform and interpret laboratory measurements
  • Coordinate with silicon, systems, firmware, test teams, and external vendors
  • Debug hardware at international partner and test-house sites

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • At least 5 years of board-level hardware design experience, including schematic-to-production or high-reliability validation
  • Expertise in schematic capture and multilayer PCB design, preferably with Cadence Allegro or OrCAD
  • Direct experience designing, bringing up, and debugging ATE or test hardware on a tester
  • Strong bench-debugging and failure-analysis skills
  • Solid RF and analog fundamentals, including matching, impedance control, RF switching, and front-end trade-offs
  • Proficiency with VNA, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, and other RF or general laboratory instruments
  • Knowledge of power delivery, sequencing, and low-power design for battery-powered IoT devices
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel internationally

Nice to have

  • Experience with a specific ATE or tester family and multi-site DUT board design
  • Cellular modem integration, including LTE-M or NB-IoT, or comparable wireless SoC hardware
  • C or Python for bring-up and test automation

Benefits

  • Work-life balance
  • Mentoring from experienced engineers
  • Collaborative, flat organization
  • Long-term career development
