Seeking a Firmware Engineer to design and develop firmware for Ethernet switching systems. Work on embedded real-time software in C/C++, networking protocols, and collaborate with hardware teams. Requires BS in CS/CE/EE or equivalent, 2+ years experience.
Responsibilities
- Own firmware development from architecture to integration testing for ASIC-based products.
- Collaborate with hardware and ASIC teams on next-generation silicon and systems.
- Design and implement algorithms to enhance system scalability and performance.
- Debug customer-reported issues with higher-layer software teams.
- Integrate new features per product roadmap.
- Work with global R&D teams.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience developing firmware for embedded systems.
- 2+ years of experience with C/C++ in real-time embedded systems (C preferred).
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in networking protocols at L2, L3, L4 layers.
- Strong debugging skills in embedded systems.
- Familiarity with ASIC development processes and code execution on FPGA.
Nice to have
- Experience with networking products such as network adapters or switches.
- Patents in networking, communication protocols, ASIC design, or computer architecture.
- Journal publications or conference papers with strong referrals.
