Seeking a Critical Component Product Engineer to enhance high-speed optical interconnect products. The role involves driving performance, cost, and quality from design to mass production at a leading computer hardware company.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and introduce critical components for interconnect products.
  • Collaborate with design, hardware, and process teams to improve critical component aspects.
  • Conduct qualification and reliability assessments for new critical components.
  • Evaluate high-speed performance and margins of critical components.
  • Run DOEs and corner sample analyses to assess system-level performance under various scenarios.
  • Develop automation tools and monitors to control critical component introduction into manufacturing.
  • Implement new screening methodologies to uphold quality standards.
  • Investigate reliability issues at contract manufacturers and customer sites.

Requirements

  • BSc in a relevant field; MSc preferred.
  • Strong background in statistics and data analysis, with proficiency in tools such as JMP.
  • 3+ years of experience in IC/silicon manufacturing processes, including fab, test, and assembly.
  • Good understanding of product/test hardware, test software, and mechanical integration.
  • Experience in high-volume production of ICs, systems, or similar.
  • Experience with statistics, data analysis, and data extraction tools.
  • Background in IC lab measurements using source meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, optical power meters, etc.
  • Knowledge of electro-optical devices, including lasers and detectors.
  • Familiarity with high-speed fiber optics products and system/IC assembly processes.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of DFT, DFM, and DOE techniques.
  • Experience in electro-optical assembly lines.
