A fast-growing gaming company is seeking a Tech Lead to own backend services, infrastructure, API design, and end-to-end feature delivery in collaboration with frontend engineers.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain backend services with NestJS
Develop data models and caching strategies using databases and Redis
Manage background processing with BullMQ
Collaborate with frontend engineers working in React
Own feature delivery from infrastructure and UI design through development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
Contribute to architecture decisions and the technical roadmap
Manage cloud-native deployments, configuration, and scalability

Requirements

At least 8 years of experience with Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Redis, and job queues
Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance
Experience delivering features end to end, including frontend integration
Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or a comparable platform
Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code
Understanding of data pipelines, ETL, and materialized views

Nice to have

Experience with Amazon Aurora
Familiarity with dbt or similar data engineering tools
Experience with data warehouses such as BigQuery, Redshift, or Materialize
