A SaaS company is looking for a Senior Frontend Infrastructure Engineer to design and evolve frontend frameworks, tools, and libraries for a React-based application. You will collaborate with product and R&D teams to ensure high performance and scalability, serving as a technical authority in frontend architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain frontend infrastructure including frameworks, tools, and libraries for high performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with product and R&D teams to align infrastructure solutions with product needs and influence technical decisions.
- Serve as a senior technical authority, leading by example through high-quality architecture, code, and best practices.
- Identify and implement improvements to the frontend development experience, including automation, tooling, code reuse, and performance optimizations.
- Participate in architectural discussions and help shape frontend standards and conventions across the organization.
- Stay current with modern frontend technologies and apply them pragmatically to improve development efficiency and product quality.
- Conduct code reviews focused on maintainability, performance, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex frontend infrastructure issues with other engineers and infrastructure teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a Frontend Engineer with a focus on frontend infrastructure, tooling, or architecture.
- Deep proficiency in React and a solid understanding of its ecosystem and core principles.
- Strong understanding of software design principles and frontend architecture.
- Hands-on experience with frontend build tools and module bundlers such as Webpack, Rspack, or Vite.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including clean code, testing strategies, and design patterns.
- Proven ability to independently analyze complex technical challenges and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js and RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Experience building or evolving frontend infrastructure or design systems in a SaaS product at scale.
- Experience working closely with platform, infrastructure, or developer-experience teams.
- Strong background in frontend performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Vue or React architectures and component systems.
