SRE Tech Lead

Lead Site Reliability Engineering architecture and technical teams for automotive software platforms. Own service resilience, customer operations, cloud performance, and operational improvements in a hybrid role based in Israel.
Responsibilities
- Lead SRE architecture and reliability improvements for software platforms
- Manage technical teams and motivate operational and organizational change
- Own customer service issues, service restoration, and prevention of negative service trends
- Prepare and support RFP responses, including cloud, application, service-level, and implementation estimates
- Coordinate with R&D and engineering teams to prioritize and resolve operational issues
- Manage performance, capacity planning, and forecasting for cloud and application stacks
- Interview, train, and motivate team members
- Oversee IT vendor relationships and support sourcing strategy
- Develop automation approaches to improve operational efficiency and issue resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 13 years of software services experience, preferably including automotive experience
- Strong experience with SRE, software engineering, architecture, operations, reliability engineering, and project management
- Knowledge of automotive IoT solutions using public cloud and Kubernetes
- Experience with Java application stacks and relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, or Cosmos DB
- Knowledge of edge computing, connected-vehicle solutions, Software-Defined Vehicle architecture, and automotive cybersecurity and compliance
- Experience with HiveMQ, Kafka, MQTT, CI/CD, DevSecOps, GitHub, and software development lifecycle processes
- Experience responding to RFPs and developing and estimating cloud-based software solutions
- Strong English writing and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel approximately 15% annually and work from the office three days per week
- Successful completion of a background investigation
