Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reliable backend services
- Drive architectural discussions and make technical decisions within the assigned domain
- Translate product and business goals into technical solutions with cross-functional partners
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code
- Promote security, performance, reliability, and engineering best practices
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Improve development processes, observability, and deployment pipelines
- Contribute to the platform architecture as the company and product scale
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing complex production systems
- Proven experience architecting and leading large-scale software projects
- Deep knowledge of system design, distributed systems, and software architecture patterns
- Strong coding skills in one or more backend languages, such as Python, Go, Node.js, Java, or C#
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or equivalent
- Experience with containerized deployments and infrastructure as code, including Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform
- Experience designing and scaling event-driven architectures and data-intensive systems
- Strong communication and influencing skills for aligning multiple teams around a technical vision
- Proactive approach, strong ownership, and enthusiasm for solving complex engineering problems
