Senior hands-on backend engineer building systems that collect, process, and remediate vulnerability data from millions of endpoints. Focus on scalable, distributed, cloud-native architecture and technical leadership without direct people management.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate scalable backend systems for large enterprise customers.
- Own complex features end-to-end from design to deployment and adoption.
- Make architectural decisions and improve reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Build resilient systems handling failures and high traffic.
- Define engineering practices around testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and production ownership.
- Mentor engineers through technical discussions and code reviews.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience.
- Strong experience with scalable production systems using a high-level language, preferably Go.
- Experience designing distributed, cloud-native systems.
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, databases, and cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of reliability, observability, and failure handling.
- Experience with CI/CD and testable code.
- Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience in cybersecurity, endpoint management, or enterprise SaaS.
- Experience with high-volume systems connected to agents or devices.
- Experience with security-sensitive systems including least privilege and auditability.
- Experience with both cloud and on-prem environments.
- Experience mentoring senior engineers or leading cross-team initiatives.
